Summer Coffee Types

Bee’s Knees Over Ice

Every summer coffee menu needs a few stunners that you can pull out for parties and entertaining. To create an iced variation of the “Bee’s Knees,” you’ll combine espresso, honey, milk, lavender, rosemary, simple syrup, and a touch a pepper. Once cooled, pour over ice and enjoy. Really enjoy.

Iced Comfy Chair

The “Comfy Chair” drink is a refreshing tea and coffee hybrid beverage. Made with Lapsang Souchong, a smoky black tea from China, this drink combines espresso, Lapsang Souchong, milk, black walnut bitters, and simple syrup.

Thai Iced Coffee

Another summer staple: Thai iced coffee. This tried and tested summer drink is best with a dark roast for full-bodied flavour. Our tip: spice up your Thai iced coffee with cardamom pods to add a spicy-sweet kick.

Some of the Traditional Coffee Variations

Ristretto

A ristretto is an espresso shot that is extracted with the same amount of coffee but half the amount of water. The end result is more concentrated and darker espresso extraction.

Long Black (Americano)

A long black (aka “americano”) is hot water with an espresso shot extracted on top of the hot water.

Café Latte

A café latte, or “latte” for short, is an espresso-based drink with steamed milk and micro-foam added to the coffee. This coffee is much sweeter compared to espresso due to the steamed milk.

Cappuccino

A cappuccino is similar to a latte. However, the key difference between a latte and cappuccino is that a cappuccino has more foam and chocolate placed on top of the drink.

Flat White

A flat white is a coffee you’ll primarily find in Australia and New Zealand. It is made the same as a cappuccino but without any foam or chocolate on top.
